Time gets away

Wow, time has just gotten away from me.  Things have been so busy around here, I haven’t had the time to keep up with sharing God’s word.  High School softball has begun, competition cheering is in its last few competitions of the year, finally getting a job to help out with the bills, getting the heat fixed in our house to hopefully bring down the electricity bill, taking care of injuries, and just the life of a mom.

Just got back from Fairfax, VA after a 2 day cheer competition.  Four out of five of our Richmond Twister teams won first place and are National Champions. Our Juniors received the Grand Champion Award, our Seniors received the highest score of the competition award, and our Minis came in 3rd place out of 7 teams.  It was an awesome weekend. I praise God for the results of this weekend. I thank God that everyone arrived home safely!  This weekend we travel to Williamsburg to compete at William & Mary College for a 1 day competition.  I know our girls will do well.

Softball season has begun and we have started off the season with an injured knee. But I must say, she laid down an awesome bunt.  Dropped the ball inches away from the plate.  Just would’ve been nice if the 1st baseman was not blocking the bag for a safe play. Anyway, we are okay and on the mend. Even with all the drama the season has started with I know it will end in great success.  We have a whole team of awesome girls who have the heart, the dedication, and the sportsmanship to come out on top.

Lord, I praise you for all the success.  I praise you for allowing me to be a part of these programs.  I so love being the Momma Jenny!  I love the hugs I get when I just show up at the end of practice.  It reminds me how blessed I am and how much I am needed! Thank you for all that you have given to us!

Make money blogging

I’m sitting here a week after creating my blog talking with God on how I can bring more income to our home. I have gone this week to get the Commercial Drivers License Manual because there is a need for school bus drivers in our community.  That will not only give me a regular paycheck but will also give me medical insurance. But I’m not really sure that’s what I want to do at this point. It would also allow me to be off when my kids are out of school which will save on the cost of after school care.  I’ve been doing  some research on other blogs such as aproverbswife.com and christianpf.com.  Both have tons of information about many things.  aproverbswife.com is based on how to be a better wife which I totally enjoy reading.  I came across christianpf.com just a couple of days ago and am learning how I can use my blog to generate income just by typing my daily thoughts.  Thank you Lord for sending the pages to me. Thank you for giving me a direction to go. In you I can do anything for its in you I find my strength.

God gives and God takes away

Job 1:21 “Naked I can from my mother and naked I will return. The Lord has given and the Lord has taken away! May the name of the Lord be praised.”
Someone reminded me today of the fact that God gives and God takes away.  He also opened my eyes to what that may mean to me. So I had to ask myself just what does that mean to me?  As I reflect back over the last few years, I can see things that he has given to me and my family and I thank him for all of those things, but I don’t think I ever looked at the things we lost or I lost (like my job) or the financial struggles that we have faced as God taking some of those things away, but hearing those words today has really made me look at the last few years in a different way. The only thing I can come up with is that it’s the good Lord above talking to me.  There is a lesson to be learned here and I’m willing to listen.  I sit here today knowing that our electricity should not be on but it is and I give all the praise to the good Lord.  I can now see that this is one of the things that God has given to us. I am so excited to be able to realize what is happening.  I feel stronger in my walk with Jesus and I feel so much closer to Him.  I pray that my message helps others that may be in my shoes.  As I was also reminded today that we all have been there at one time or another.

Sharing God’s Love…

Sharing God’ Love includes helping those in need find the resources they need to survive when they are struggling.  We wanted to place as many resources together as possible so that it can be easier for those in need to find them when needed.  I have compiled a list of resources within our community and hope that by doing this you too can feel God’s love. Please feel free to find these resources on our “Sharing God’s Love with the Needy” page.

Mathew 7:7

“Ask, and you will receive. Search, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened.

I found a new site today called ibelieve.com.  It’s purpose is “The purpose of iBelieve.com is to help women wrestle with the deeper issues of how their faith relates to the world around them.”  It’s a very interesting sight loaded with blogs regarding relationships, prayer, and other various everyday issues that Christian women deal with on a regular basis. You can even sign up for their newsletter loaded with awesome articles. Simply click on the image above to check out their sight.

Welcome to Ask, Search, Knock 2 Receive!

Ask, Search, Knock 2 Receive was a gift from God.  It’s mission is to share God’s love and word by compiling Biblical Tools and resources into one site as well as partnering with other Christian-based businesses and organizations to help you grow in your walk with the Lord. Our hope is that you will find that you are not alone. God is right by your side guiding you every step of the way if you open your heart and are willing to hear his advise. I enjoy reading God’s word and listening to Christian music.  Even if I don’t understand what I am reading at the moment I know that one day I will understand it all in God’s time.  I struggle understanding some of God’s word but I pray that with constant reading and finding tools to help me understand it will not only my me a better child of God but I will become a better wife, mother, and friend.  A verse that has been laying on my heart a lot lately is Mathew 7:7. “Ask, and you will receive. Search, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened.”  I must admit that I need to get better at listening so I am committing myself to the Lord to open my heart so that I can be a better listener.  Since my recent job loss and our recent financial struggles, I am hearing Him a lot lately.  I believe by starting this blog, it is the start of better listening, the start of something new, and the most definitely the start of something awesome!

Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through God who strengthens me.”
